Club #3450 is a small club in numbers, but mighty in spirit. Our members include professional, civic, and business leaders of our community. Giving Back to Our Community
Rotary International, the world’s first service organization, is made up of over 33,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Its members form a global network of business, professional and community leaders who volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities and the world.
The Sullivan Rotary Club #3450 was chartered on February 23, 1924 and is a part of District 6580, which is made up of 36 Rotary Clubs in our geographical area. For over 90 years, Sullivan Rotary has been working to make Sullivan County a better place to live and work. Our club participates in community service projects throughout Sullivan County including holding the Sullivan Rotary Corn Festival, sponsoring the Senior Awards Banquet at Sullivan High School, partnering with the Wabash Valley Community Foundation to distribute dictionaries to third graders, and assisting Hospice in their Tulip Fundraiser, to name a few as well as supporting local clubs, organizations and schools through monetary donations. And through it all we have great fellowship, camaraderie and lots of fun! Giving Back to Our Community
The Sullivan Rotary Corn Festival is an annual event held on the Downtown Square in Sullivan, Indiana. Festivities include carnival rides, delicious fair food and multiple vendors cover the square lawn to promote a family friendly atmosphere for people of all ages. For 2024 we are having the nightly music on the lawn of the Central Plaza for a small fee. The free Rotary Corn Feed, Parade, and Turtle Derby take place on the Saturday of the festival as part of the celebration on the Square. The Sullivan Rotary Club members organize all aspects of the festival for the betterment of the community. Giving Back to Our Community Volunteer Organization
Share a sign of life and the hope of spring with someone special – a loved one, a friend or a co-worker. Fresh bouquets of cut tulips are sold in the spring to support the services provided to patients. The Sullivan Rotary Club coordinates the delivery and logistics associated with the tulips sold in Sullivan County in May of each year. If you would like to order tulips please contact us or Hospice. Giving Back to Our Community
The Sullivan Rotary Club sponsors the annual Sullivan High School Senior Awards Banquet to honor all seniors for their academic honors. The club sponsors the dinner for the Seniors and their families before the scholarship awards are distributed. Giving Back to Our Community
Real Men Read is a program that brings men into the Sullivan County Schools to read to students once a month for five months. The program encourages and improves literacy skills of the students, provides mentoring opportunities for men with students and gives students extra attention and positive role models who value education. Each student receives 5 books to build their own home library. Sullivan Rotary supports the program as a sponsor as well as gathers volunteers to read to the children.
Learning to define and spell words, exploring the world through maps, and discovering facts about weights and measures are just a few activities that third graders in Sullivan County can participate in, because now each student has a dictionary. The Sullivan Rotary Club coordinates the delivery and processing of the books to guarantee that every third grader receives a dictionary in Sullivan County. The partnership enabled businessmen and women to serve as role models to the students and express the importance of spelling in day-to-day life.
The Rotary Club is able to support local clubs, organizations and schools monetarily based on their need and benefit to the community. If your organization has a need, please send your request to the Sullivan Rotary Club at P.O. Box 51, Sullivan, Indiana 47882. The club will review all requests and vote on supporting your organization and at what monetary level. Volunteer Organization

Its members form a global network of business, professional and community leaders who volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities and the world.
Rotary's motto, Service Above Self, exemplifies the humanitarian spirit of the organization's more than 1.2 million members. Strong fellowship among Rotarians and meaningful community and international service projects characterize Rotary worldwide.
The club is the cornerstone of Rotary, where the most meaningful work is carried out. All effective Rotary clubs are responsible for four key elements: sustaining or increasing their membership base, participating in service projects that benefit their own community and those in other countries, supporting The Rotary Foundation of RI financially and through program participation, and developing leaders capable of serving in Rotary beyond the club level.
What Rotarians get out of Rotary depends largely on what they put into it. Many membership requirements are designed to help members become and remain active participants in their clubs and enjoy their Rotary experience.
We are always looking for new members to join our club. Join us as we celebrate "Giving Back to Our Community" in Sullivan. Contact any of our officers for more information or attend one of our weekly meetings as our guest.

The 4-Way Test of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
